The depletion of easily exploitable resources, combined with efforts to recover value from waste, has led to renewed interest in chloride leaching for the recovery of metals that must be recovered either because of their economic value or due to environmental restrictions associated with lead.

The HALOMET\u00ae technology is based on chloride leaching, followed by purification via solvent extraction, enabling the selective recovery of metals present in industrial or municipal waste.<\/strong>

The use of chloride-medium leaching allows for the dissolution of metals that may be refractory to conventional leaching technologies\u2014such as those using sulfuric acid\u2014or where, under such conditions, the generation of waste renders the technology environmentally unviable.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
