Metal Recovery

Over the course of more than four decades, the In-House Technology Development Division (DDTP) has built up unique expertise in the design of advanced hydrometallurgical solutions for metal recovery. Our expertise ranges from primary raw materials to waste and secondary streams with complex or polymetallic compositions, which have traditionally been considered difficult or impossible to process.
Our technologies enable the recovery of non-ferrous metals—such as zinc, copper, lead, silver, nickel, and silicon—in metallic form or as high-purity salts, through efficient, flexible, and economically competitive processes. Thanks to their ability to adapt to different feedstock types and each client’s specific requirements, DDTP’s solutions have become industry benchmarks, driving new opportunities for resource recovery and contributing to a more sustainable and resilient industry.

ZINCEX® (MZP) technology is a process for producing SHG-grade zinc or ultra-pure zinc salts.

Compared to conventional technologies (roasting, leaching, electrolysis), ZINCEX® technology offers significant technical and economic advantages, including the ability to process a wide variety of raw materials, lower operating costs, and the production of a higher-purity product.

ECOLEAD® lead and silver recovery technology is an efficient method for recovering lead and precious metals.

Integrating ECOLEAD® technology into a plant using ZINCEX® technology is easy to implement and improves the facility’s profitability.

LIP4CAT® technology enables the recovery of zinc from calcine in just two process steps because, when combined with ZINCEX® technology, it allows leaching reactions to take place under more dilute conditions.

DATMOS® technology enables the recovery of zinc directly from metal sulfides without the need for a roasting stage and without the limitation of having to use high-grade zinc concentrates.

This technology enables the production of a zinc electrolyte in a sulfate medium from a chloride-based leachate in a single SX cycle. At the same time, it allows for the recovery of other metals of interest, such as lead, at various stages of the process.
